PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT

THIS IS NOT AN ACTIVE ALERT

This is a reminder of the NYS Department of Health mask mandate that is currently in effect until further notice.  If your business does not already have signage posted, please post one of these signs at all entrances:

With the cold weather, more residents are gathering together indoors which will result in an increased number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths due to COVID-19. As a community, we need to protect the health of residents, and the health of our economy. A multi-layered approach to reduce the transmission and impacts of COVID-19 is key to saving lives and keeping businesses open. Masking, vaccinating, testing, handwashing, improving ventilation, and staying home when sick are all important, science-based methods that we can use to lessen the burden of COVID-19.

Vaccination is the number one tool in our public health toolbox to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and subsequently prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death from complications of the infection.  You can find a vaccination site near you at:  https://chqgov.com/public-health/covid-19-vaccination-clinics
