Jean Riley Selected to Fill Chautauqua County Director of Human Resources Position

MAYVILLE, N.Y.:-- Chautauqua County Executive Paul M. Wendel, Jr. recently announced his selection of Jean Riley as the new Chautauqua County Director of Human Resources.
Riley’s appointment was confirmed by the Chautauqua County Legislature on August 3, 2020 and she began her position on August 10, 2020. She replaces outgoing director Jessica Wisniewski, who resigned from the position in early August.
Riley has served as Human Resources Manager at Ridg-U-Rak Inc. since September 2017. Prior to that she was Human Resources Director at Stella-Jones Corporation. In this position, she was instrumental in supporting company strategic goals of growth through acquisitions.
“Jean has over 15 years of experience in human resources where she had worked in various industries ranging from small businesses to global companies,” said Wendel. “She has proven success in creating a workplace culture of collaboration to achieve workforce excellence and I am excited to welcome her to our team.”

Riley earned her Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management at LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, Pa. She is also a certified senior Human Resources Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management. She currently resides in Findley Lake, N.Y.
