FALCONER, N.Y.:-- The new County Bridge 151 on Southwestern Drive in the Town of Busti will be open to traffic starting September 1, 2021. The bridge replacement was completed successfully by Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities (DPF) crews within the scheduled two month construction period. Replacement was scheduled for July and August to be the least disruptive to the travelling public.
“The existing culvert was replaced due to structural deficiencies and substandard hydraulic capacity,” said Brad Bentley, Chautauqua County Director of Public Facilities. “With the replacement bridge in place, the new county bridge has a safe crossing with no deficiencies and is expected to have a service life beyond 75 years.”
The Chautauqua County DPF appreciates the public’s patience during this busy construction season as we continue to improve the county’s critical infrastructure.
