Jamestown Man Sentenced For Felony Robbery, Attempted Assault At Jail

JAMESTOWN, NY – A 29-year-old Jamestown man was sentenced Monday in connection with a felony robbery and attempted assault of a correction’s officer at the Chautauqua County Jail.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced that Isaiah Pearson was sentenced by Judge David Foley to an indeterminate state prison sentenced of 3-6 years after pleading guilty to Robbery in the 3rd Degree, a Class D felony, on September 6, 2023.

On February 26, 2023, Mr. Pearson was arrested by the Jamestown Police Department for a robbery incident that occurred in the city. Mr. Pearson threatened the victim with a knife and stole their property.

Mr. Pearson was also sentenced to 2-4 years after being convicted of Attempted Assault in the 2nd Degree after he caused injury to a Corrections Officer while confined in the Chautauqua County Jail following the arrest on February 26th.

These sentences will run concurrently. The DA would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office for their hard work on these respective cases.
