Agriculture & Farmland Protection Board

Airport Commission

Board of Health

Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation Board of Directors

Chautauqua County Workforce Investment Board

Chautauqua Opportunities Board of Directors:

Community Services Board:

This board reviews and evaluates community mental hygiene services and facilities. It also recommends policies and procedures in order to improve the effectiveness of mental hygiene programs in the County. For more information, call the Department of Mental Hygiene at (716) 753-4104.

Conewango Watershed Commission:

This commission was established through a partnership with Cattaraugus County to protect, finance, operate, maintain and carryout the Conewango Creek Watershed Plan and to provide flood prevention. For more information, contact Chairman Ken Chase at (716) 499-5721.

County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors:

This board works to advance job opportunities, health, general prosperity and economic welfare in the county. It guides the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) by promoting, developing, and assisting in the acquisition, construction/reconstruction, improvement, maintenance, equipment and furnishing of industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, and recreational facilities. Chautauqua Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation (CTASC) Board of Directors:

This board manages the repayment of bonds issued to securitize proceeds received by the County of Chautauqua from the settlement of litigation brought by the County and the State of New York against tobacco manufacturers for health care costs incurred by the County and State. Emergency Medical Services Council:

Environmental Management Council

Ethics Board

Fire Advisory Board

Historian's Advisory Commission

This commission develops policies for the records management program, provides guidance and support to municipal historians in the County, and promotes history-oriented tourism. For more information, call the County Historian at (716) 753-4857.

Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees:

This board upholds the mission of Jamestown Community College (JCC) to provide a comprehensive, regional, student-centered institution that contributes to the social and intellectual improvement, economic development and cultural enrichment of Western New York. Long Term Care Council

This council is charged with soliciting input from long term care stakeholders, identifying gaps in service accessibility and availability, and analyzing emerging community needs in the long term care delivery system. For more information, please contact the Office for the Aging at (716) 753-4471.

Office for the Aging Advisory Council

This council advises the Director of the Office for the Aging (OFA) on matters concerning the elderly of the county. For more information, contact the OFA at (716) 753-4471.

Parks Commission:

Planning Board

This board provides local governments with advisory reviews of zoning amendments and other planning actions. It also undertakes the annual completion of a six-year capital improvement program. Roberts Road Development Corporation Board of Directors:

This board facilitates the rehabilitation and redevelopment of real estate in Chautauqua County, including in particular the Roblin, Edgewood, and Alumax properties on Roberts Road in the City of Dunkirk. Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Directors:

South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts Administrative Board:

Sports Fishery Advisory Board

This board advises the County and local governments on how to plan for increased access to the shoreline, provides information on fishing to the general public, and works with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to protect and develop fishery resources. Stop-Dwi Advisory Board

Traffic Safety Board

Youth Board

This board works to provide the necessary resources and opportunities for the county’s youth to excel. It investigates new initiatives, programs and recreational services that promote health, education, employment and the general wellbeing of youth.
