District Attorney Jason L. Schmidt announces that Lisa Tibbetts, age 48, of Jamestown was convicted of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, both “B” felonies and was sentenced May 12, 2025 by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of seven years with two years of post-release supervision. Ms. Tibbetts plead guilty to these charges on February 25, 2025. The pled and sentence was the result of a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine by Ms. Tibbetts by the Jamestown Metro Drug Taskforce and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. The DA would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work on this case.
