Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel recently announced Chautauqua County Budget Director Kathleen Dennison will retire from her position effective June 2, 2023.
Dennison first began her career with the County on July 7, 2011 as a Principal Account Clerk with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. She was later appointed as an Accounting Supervisor, a position she held for two years, before being appointed as Budget Director for the Chautauqua County Department of Finance on Feb. 1, 2017.
Chautauqua County Executive Paul "PJ" M. Wendel Jr. has declared a State of Emergency in response to the City of New York’s intentions to send migrants and asylum seekers to other counties.
The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene (CCDMH) is partnering with Combat Addiction CHQ and the HEALing Communities Study to offer free naloxone training to the public at the Prendergast Library in Jamestown, N.Y.
During the pandemic, if your driver’s license expired between March 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) allowed you to renew your license online by self-certifying your vision. If you have not yet sent the results of a vision test to the DMV in Albany, you are in danger of having your driver’s license suspended if you do not send the results soon.
The Chautauqua County Health Department has announced two free rabies vaccination clinics. Animals must be pre-registered to receive vaccinations. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older.
