MAYVILLE, NY — At the Chautauqua County Legislature’s annual reorganizational meeting on Thursday, County Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. offered congratulations and shared his optimistic vision for the year ahead.

“I would like to congratulate everyone on returning for what I believe will be a stellar 2025,” said Wendel, extending special congratulations to Jamie Gustafson and Tom Nelson for joining the leadership team, as well as to Pierre Chagnon for his unanimous re-election as Chair of the Legislature.

Wendel also welcomed new legislators Tamara Dickey and Tom Carl, expressing his enthusiasm to work with them in the future.

“It's no doubt that we may not always agree on everything here in the Legislature, but I know that each of you will represent your constituents to the best of your ability. Together, we will elevate Chautauqua County to new heights, achieved through hard work, compromise, and that resilient spirit Pierre spoke of.”

Wendel emphasized the importance of collaboration and open communication in achieving success.

“Nothing is beyond our grasp. I am confident that, working together, we can achieve greatness. My door is always open, and my phone is always on. Please reach out, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you in 2025.”
