Discover Your Future at Chautauqua County’s First-Ever Civil Service Job Fair on Oct. 25

MAYVILLE, NY — Chautauqua County will host its first Civil Service Job Fair on Friday October 25, offering prospective employees the chance to explore career opportunities in public service.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2 Academy St. in Mayville, will feature representatives from various county departments who will meet with attendees and provide information about available positions. County officials are encouraging those seeking meaningful work with competitive benefits to attend.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about the important and diverse work Chautauqua County does to support public health, safety, infrastructure, and social services. Departments such as County Attorney, Finance, Health, Mental Health and Social Services, Office for Aging Services, Office of District Attorney, Office of Public Defender, Office of Sheriff, Probation, Public Facilities, Airports, and CHQ Transit will be on-site to answer questions and provide information on job opportunities.

“This job fair is an exciting opportunity for residents to see firsthand the vital roles Chautauqua County plays in our community and to find out how they can become a part of that mission,” said County Executive PJ Wendel. “We offer opportunities for everyone—from administrative roles to front-line public safety—and we’re eager to meet individuals who are ready to make a difference.”

In addition to career exploration, attendees will automatically be entered into a basket raffle for a chance to win some exciting prizes, adding a fun incentive to the event.
