MAYVILLE, NY – Chautauqua County Sheriff James B. Quattrone and Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. have released a joint statement on the Tragic Loss of Two Police Officers in Upstate New York:

“It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we mourn the tragic loss of two brave and dedicated law enforcement officers in Upstate New York. The loss of these heroes, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, leaves a deep void in our community and beyond.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and colleagues of the fallen officer and sheriff's deputy during this incredibly difficult time. Their selfless commitment to protecting and serving their community will never be forgotten.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all law enforcement officers who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe. Their unwavering courage and dedication are a testament to their noble profession.

As we come together to honor the memory of these fallen heroes, let us also reaffirm our commitment to supporting and standing by our law enforcement community. May their legacy of service and sacrifice inspire us all to strive for a safer and more just society.

Our hearts are heavy, but our resolve is strong as we stand in solidarity with the entire law enforcement community in mourning the loss of these two brave souls.”
