Violent Felony Weapons Sentencing

Cody Boisvert, age 25 of Jamestown, was sentenced yesterday in Chautauqua County court by Judge David Foley to an determinate state prison sentenced of 3.5 years with 5 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C violent felony. In July 2023, officers from the Jamestown Police Department observed Mr. Boisvert to be illegally in possession of a loaded hand gun. He pled guilty to the charge in December 2023.

Sentencing Issued in Felony Weapons Case

Jimmy Watts, age 49 of Dunkirk, was sentenced yesterday, April 9th, to a determinate state prison sentenced of 8 years with 5 years of post-release supervision by Judge David Foley after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C violent felony. In March 2023, the Dunkirk Police Department responded to a report of an individual waiving a gun and pointing it at patrons of a business on Lakeshore Drive in the City of Dunkirk.
