All fees related to a filing must be made payable to the ‘Chautauqua County Clerk’
Payments are accepted in the form of cash, check, money order, cashier check, or credit card. We accept all major credit cards for charges of $20.00 and over, with a mandatory 2.5% processing fee.

**Only UCC filings where collateral is AFFIXED TO REAL PROPERTY can be accepted by the County Clerk’s office after July 01, 2001. ALL OTHER UCC FILINGS (INCLUDING appendments, releases, and assignments of non-realty related UCCs previously filed in the County Clerk’s office) MUST be filed with the NYS Dept. of State. The above fees have been established for UCC and federal tax lien filings in County Clerk offices within New York State Dept of State effective April 01, 2003.**
