JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Get your tails wagging and leashes ready for the Dwyer Dog Ruck Walk, happening on June 1, 11:00 am at the scenic Bergman Park, 487 Baker Street Extension in Jamestown, NY. This fur-filled event, organized by the Dwyer Veterans Peer-to-Peer Program, promises fun, fur, and friendship, supporting a great cause.

Local veterans and mental health advocates support the walk. It encourages participants to bring their dogs along for a one-mile journey, symbolizing veterans who tragically take their lives daily. Participants are invited to carry rucksacks of any weight they choose to represent the daily heavy burden many veterans carry.

Event Highlights:

Ruck Walk Parade: Prepare for a parade of paws as we take a joyful jaunt around Bergman Park. This walk isn’t just any walk; it’s a celebration of canine companionship and camaraderie. So lace up your doggy boots and join us for what’s set to be a memorable march.

Supporting Our Veterans: This event is for everyone – whether you’ve served in the military or not. If you have a dog, you’re part of the family! Please show your support for our veterans and raise awareness for mental health in a unique and meaningful way.

Playtime for Pups: Expect plenty of tail-wagging excitement with doggy playtime. There will be slobbery kisses and endless fun, ensuring a great time for your furry friends.

Doggy Essentials Provided: We’ve got your pups covered with dog treats and poop bags to ensure a clean and happy park for all to enjoy.

This walk is a fantastic opportunity to honor our veterans, support mental health awareness, and spend a quality day with your four-legged best friend. Event organizers request dog owners keep their fur friends on a leash. We’re excited to see you there, rain or shine, for a day filled with joy, support, and community spirit. Let’s make this a day to remember for our veterans, our pups, and everyone in between. For more details, visit dwyerchautauqua.com or preventsuicidechq.com.
