Virtual Suicide Prevention Training: Link To Hope, Now Open For Registration

MAYVILLE, N.Y. - In response to the increasing need for workplace support in mental health and suicide prevention, a virtual training opportunity, Link to HOPE, is now available for registration. This interactive workshop, led by suicide prevention experts Jose Soto, System Transformation Manager with Ardent Solutions and Carri Raynor, Director of the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, will take place on Wednesday, November 20, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM EST.

Link to HOPE is a customizable, skills-based training designed to equip participants with essential tools for supporting individuals who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide. Ideal for non-clinical professionals, this 60-90 minute session focuses on providing actionable steps and confidence to help attendees recognize, approach, and support individuals in need.

Training Objectives: Participants will gain insight and practical skills, including:

Recognizing signs: Identifying subtle invitations for help from those who may be thinking about suicide.

Approaching confidently: Learning how to engage openly and directly about suicide.

Responding with care: Knowing what steps to take if the person expresses suicidal thoughts.

Creating connections: Building a safe space and guiding the person toward additional resources.

This training is more than educational; it’s a vital step in fostering a compassionate, suicide-aware workplace culture.
