Sometimes we become caregivers by choice. Other times, caregiving shows up unexpectedly and finds us. Either way, having support is key to maintaining your own emotional & physical health. It all begins with a conversation. OFAS has free, confidential services available to caregivers who are caring for an adult 60 years old or older. Whether you're a daughter who does the grocery shopping for your mother, running errands for a neighbor, or are caring for a spouse with a chronic condition, we're here for you. Caregiver support provides expert information and guidance on in-home service options, support groups & counseling, adult day & respite care and other needs. Just call us to speak with an eldercare advisor, or request an in-person meeting with a care manager who can assess your situation and link you to supportive services. Office For Aging Services provides the non-biased information you need to make good choices and informed decisions for both you and the person you are caring for.
